What's happened so far?

Alright, in an effort to get everyone up to speed on our progress, here's what's happend:

We bought a town home (duh!). It's in Village Green, a Drees community just north of the Carmel Art and Design district (CADD). We're really excited about being able to walk to all the great places in the CADD - Bub's (both the burger joint and the breakfast joint), Joe's Meat Market, Bazbeaux, Muldoon's, etc. - do you see a theme here?). We're also really excited to be able to ride our bikes to the Monon Center (did I mention that our community is right on the Monon Trail?), Clay Terrace, the Carmel Farmer's Market, etc.

One of the links above is to a plot map of the neighborhood. We're going to be in building 7. We've got a great view of the tree preserve area (which, according to Carmel, cannot be developed - that's a good thing!) and an easy walk to the Monon Trail entry right by the retention pond.

We got really lucky and sold our house in 2 days (thanks, Kristie!). We've moved into an apartment between Fred's work and the town home.

We have had our first round of selections (which will be detailed later), and we're meeting with the "low voltage" company (for all the pre-wire, electronics, etc.) next week. Also, we'll have our second selection meeting next week.

That's really about it, I guess. We're trying to figure out all the stuff they've given us and trying to make sure we make some good design decisions.

As an FYI, if you click on the slide show in the upper right corner, it will open Picasa Web Albums and you'll be able to see full size images, along with captions for each photo. Those pictures were taken in the model when we first considered the move back in February.
